Welcome to Part 2 of this slightly irreverent, weirdly accurate guide to Dayton-area communities — if they were car brands. Some people tour neighborhoods. Some of us compare them to what’s in the garage.
Let’s keep rolling.
12. Englewood = Subaru
Practical, all-weather, and ready for anything.
Englewood is that city where people know the best backroads, keep a snow brush in their trunk year-round, and genuinely like knowing their neighbors. It’s solid, reliable, and never trying to be flashy.
13. Vandalia = GMC
Work-ready but with some polish.
Vandalia’s got the airport, big employers, and homes that can flex up or down depending on what season of life you’re in. It's a GMC kind of place — hard-working underneath, but smooth enough to drive the family to dinner.
14. Germantown = Jeep
A little rugged, a little off the grid — in the best way.
Germantown feels tucked away. It’s got charm, land, and rolling hills that don’t apologize for being a little out of the way. Like Jeep, it’s perfect if you want space, quiet, and maybe a chicken coop.
15. West Milton = Ram
Rural, dependable, and built with purpose.
West Milton gives you that small-town + pickup-truck pride kind of vibe. It’s not trying to grow fast or go trendy — it just keeps moving forward. Big yards, fair prices, and the smell of cut grass everywhere.
16. Yellow Springs = Volkswagen
Quirky, intentional, and proud of its difference.
Yellow Springs doesn’t fit the mold — and neither does VW. From farmer’s markets to creative lawn signs, it leans progressive, artistic, and weird in the best possible way.
17. Bellbrook = (pre 2025) Jaguar (Recap from Part 1)
Smooth, reserved, and refined elegance.
You won’t see Bellbrook shouting for attention, but you’ll feel the difference once you're there. It’s where privacy, aesthetics, and just a little extra land come standard.
18. Enon = Buick
Mature, smooth, and tucked between towns.
Enon sits between bigger names but has a quiet rhythm that just works. Good value, laid-back neighbors, and no real interest in impressing anyone. And that’s exactly why people stay.
19. Riverside = Mitsubishi
Compact, scrappy, and always a little underestimated.
Riverside’s got older homes, newer builds popping up, and a no-frills, down-to-earth feel. It’s not trying to be what it’s not — but it can surprise you when it shows up with good bones and great value.
Part 2 Wrap-Up
Not every city is built for everyone. But every city has its own purpose — just like the right car at the right time.
Next up: the small towns, outliers, and rural pockets that make the Miami Valley what it is.
